However,excessivedeformationofboreholescausedbyCBM extractioncanleadtoareductionintheeffectiveradiusofthe extractionboreholes.Thisstudyaimstoelucidatetherelationship betweentheeffectiveradiusofCBMextractionboreholesand boreholedeformation.Theresearchfindingsprovidevaluable insightsintothedesignandoptimizationofCBMextraction techniquesforimprovingcoalminingoperations. 1.Introduction Coalbedmethaneisoftentrappedwithincoalseams,creating potentialhazardsincoalminingactivities.Gasexplosionaccidents areoneofthemostsevererisksassociatedwithcoalmining.CBM extractionthroughdrillingboreholesprovidesaviablesolutionto mitigatethesehazardswhilealsoextractingvaluableenergy resources.However,highmethaneextractionratescanleadto boreholedeformation,reducingtheeffectiveradiusofthe extractionboreholesandaffectingtheoverallefficiencyofCBM extraction.Therefore,understandingtherelationshipbetweenthe effectiveradiusofCBMextractionboreholesandborehole deformationiscrucialforoptimizingtheextractionprocess. 2.Methodology 2.1FieldDataCollection Fielddatacollectionwillinvolvemeasuringthedeformation ofCBMextractionboreholesandcorrespondingchangesingas pressureovertime.ThedatawillbecollectedfromseveralCBM extractionsiteswithvaryinggeologicalconditions. 2.2ExperimentalSetup Laboratoryexperimentswillbeconductedtosimulatethe boreholedeformationunderdifferentgasextractionconditions.
