大学英语自主学习模式下的形成性评价研究的中期报 告 Abstract Formativeassessmentisanimportanttooltoenhance learninginhighereducation.Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatethe effectivenessofaformativeassessmentapproachinpromoting self-directedlearningincollegeEnglish.Thestudyinvolved50 participantswhowererandomlyassignedtoeitheran experimentalgrouporacontrolgroup.Theexperimentalgroup participatedinformativeassessmentactivitieswhilethecontrol groupreceivedtraditionalassessment.Thestudyisstillongoing andthismidtermreportpresentsthepreliminaryresultsofdata collectedthroughapre-test,threeformativeassessments,anda post-test.Theanalysisofthedatasuggeststhattheexperimental groupshowedhigherlevelsofmotivation,engagement,and autonomyintheirlearningthanthecontrolgroup.However,there werenostatisticallysignificantdifferencesintheirEnglish achievementbetweenthetwogroups.Furtherresearchisneeded toexplorethefactorsthatcontributetotheeffectivenessof formativeassessmentsinself-directedlearning.
