Inthebeginning,Janewasanorphan,whoseparentshaddiedawaywhenshewasalittlegirl.Asa result,shewassenttoheraunt’shome,whereshespentaperiodofunpleasanttime.Facedwithher brother’sinsultandhersisters’despise,shechosetobeindifferentandkeptstrivingforlife.After arrivingatLogwoodOrphanage,shewascuriousaboutallthethingsandworkedhardonallthe subjects,andfinallyshegotajobasagovernessintheThornfieldbyherexcellentrecords.Even thoughshewaspoor,shewasneverfrightenedbythedifficulties;Eventhoughlifewastoughonher, sheshowedunconquerablespiritfightagainstitandwentforwhatshewanted.
