Based on relevant data and using the regression analysis method, this paper explores the impact of Chongqing's industrial structure on the urban-rural income gap and its mechanism. The research found that Chongqing's industrial structure has different impacts on the urban-rural income gap, with the service industry having the most significant impact, followed by the manufacturing industry, and the agricultural industry was third. We further found that the development gap between urban and rural areas, education level, and labor market are also important factors influencing the urban-rural income gap.
