年度英语学科组工作计划：推进英语课程改革，培养国际化人 才 As the new academic year begins, the English department has put together acomprehensive and innovative annual work plan to promote English language and culture education in our school. The goal of this work plan is to propel English language teaching to greater heights, eventually helping the school to produce internationalized individuals who can compete in the global market. First and foremost, one of the core strategies in the annual work plan is to promote English language teaching reform using strategies that are suited to the 21st century. The education demands of the ‘digital age’ require anew approach to language learning, most importantly, focusing on listening, speaking and communicative competence. This work plan takes into account these recommendations, and emphasizes student-centered teaching methods that allow students to think and interact with the language. The teachers will conduct class activities such as short films, project-based learning, presentations, debates, dialogues and drama, thereby enabling students to experience the language in context.
