Landsat-8 TIRS 数据在某核电站温排水监测中应用 探讨 Abstract As atype of remote sensing technology, the Landsat-8 Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) data has been increasingly used in environmental monitoring, particularly for water temperature monitoring in natural water bodies and power plant discharge cooling systems. This study aimed to explore the application of Landsat-8 TIRS data in the monitoring of thermal discharge from anuclear power plant. By analyzing and interpreting the thermal infrared data, the temperature distribution in the cooling water discharge system was obtained. The results showed that the temperature of the cooling water would decrease as it flows downstream, but the rate of decline may vary depending on environmental factors and the status of the power plant. This paper highlights the advantages of using Landsat-8 TIRS data for water temperature monitoring in the context of nuclear power plant operation, not only because TIRS provides high-resolution data but also because it can monitor multiple parameters simultaneously. Introduction In recent years, the development of remote sensing technology has been increasingly utilized in environmental monitoring, especially in the monitoring of aquatic environments. The Landsat-8 Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) is one of the important remote sensing tools that can provide valuable information for studying the thermal characteristics of natural water bodies and thermal discharge systems of nuclear power plants. Monitoring of the cooling discharge system of nuclear power plants is crucial for environmental management and protection. Thermal discharge from power plants can have asignificant effect on the aquatic environment, particularly on aquatic flora and fauna. Hence, the monitoring of the thermal discharge in nuclear power plants is essential to prevent negative impact on the aquatic environment. Application of Landsat-8 TIRS Data Remote sensing using Landsat-8 TIRS data is widely used for monitoring water temperature in large natural water bodies, such as the Black Sea, the Great Lakes in North America, or the Amazon river (Hou
