Allstudentsmustsatisfythefollowingqualitativeandquantitativeacademicstandardsinorderto remaineligibleforfederalfinancialaid.Thesequalitativeandquantitativestandardsrefertothe followingTitleIVFederalAidprograms:FederalPellGrant,FederalSupplementalEducational OpportunityGrant(FSEOG),FederalWork-Study,FederalPerkinsLoan,andWilliamD.Ford FederalDirectLoans. StudentswillbemeasuredagainsttheTitleIVSatisfactoryAcademicProgressStandardsatthe endofeachspringsemesterinordertodetermineeligibilityfortheupcomingyear.Thosewhofail tomeettheacademicstandardswillhavetheirfederalaidautomaticallysuspendeduntiltheymeet theminimumstandardsthatarelistedbelow. PLEASENOTE:Studentswhocandocumentthatextraordinaryorexceptionalcircumstances resultedintheirfailuretosatisfyacademicrequirementsmaybeabletoapplyforawaivertoreceive federalaidforanothersemester.AdditionalinformationandformsareavailableontheCityCollege ofNewYorkFinancialAidwebsite. QualitativeStandard: Undergraduatestudents –StudentsmustachievethefollowingGradePointAverage(GPA) atCityCollege: .5-12attemptedcredits=1.50GPArequired 13-24attemptedcredits=1.75GPArequired 25+attemptedcredits=2.00GPArequired TheregulationsalsostipulatethatastudentmusthaveaminimumGPAof2.0afterattendingschool forfoursemesterswithoutregardtoenrollmentstatusandsupersedingtheabovetable. Graduatestudents –mustachieveaGPAof3.00. QuantitativeStandard Undergraduatestudents -InadditiontoachievingtherequiredGradePointAveragestudentsmust alsoaccumulatecreditstowardthedegreeaccordingtothefollowingCityUniversitystandards: Attemptedcreditsmustbenomorethan150%ofthecredits(180credits)neededforthecompletion ofthedegree and Accumulated(orearned)creditsmustbeequaltoorgreaterthan[(.75xcreditsattempted)–18]
