Dear Principal and colleagues, Iam delighted to submit my annual report as an English teacher for the academic year 2024-2024. This has been achallenging year for all of us, but Ifeel that as a department we have accomplished agreat deal and Iam proud of our achievements. Teaching Strategies Throughout the academic year Ihave used avariety of teaching strategies to engage and motivate my students. Ihave facilitated extensive reading sessions, provided opportunities for pair and group work, utilised blended learning through the use of learning platforms, delivered lectures and provided students with personalised feedback to ensure their progress. Ihave also implemented an array of resources and materials to enhance student learning. From interactive whiteboard activities to language games, online quizzes, and reading and writing exercises, the students have benefitted from the range of materials and resources provided. Assessment and Feedback Ihave prioritised consistent and appropriate formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. Ihave also used assessment to inform and adjust my teaching practices, demonstrating that assessment is not simply about grades, but more importantly, about student learning and development. Furthermore, Ihave provided students with structured and personalised feedback on their writing, enabling them to strengthen their communicative competence. Ihave also facilitated in-class peer feedback sessions and encouraged students to be reflective of their own learning needs.
