Introduction: ThecombinationofPCandPMMAinreactiveblendsoffersa synergisticeffect,resultinginimprovedmechanicalproperties, thermalstability,andtransparency.Additionally,theabilityto foamtheseblendsusingsupercriticalCO2astheblowingagent providesanenvironmentallyfriendlyalternativetotraditional foamingagents,whichareoftenharmfultotheenvironment. Methodology: 1.Materialpreparation:CommerciallyavailablePCandPMMA weremeltblendedusingatwin-screwextruderatoptimized processingconditionstoobtainPCPMMAreactiveblends. 2.Characterizationtechniques: -Fourier-transforminfraredspectroscopy(FTIR):Toconfirm thepresenceofreactivegroupsandinvestigatetheformationof copolymersbetweenPCandPMMA. -Scanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM):Toexaminethe morphologyanddispersionofPMMAwithinthePCmatrix.
