However, students in comprehensive universities of arts and sports often face unique challenges in English language learning. This study aims to explore the specific issues and propose effective strategies for English learning in these institutions, using the humanistic approach as a theoretical framework. 1. Identifying the English Learning Issues: 1.1 Limited exposure to English language: Students in comprehensive universities of arts and sports often focus more on their specialized fields, leading to limited opportunities to practice English and access authentic English materials. 1.2 Lack of motivation: Some students may perceive English as less relevant to their professional careers, resulting in alack of intrinsic motivation to learn. 1.3 Lack of specific English courses: The curriculum in these universities may not prioritize English, inhibiting comprehensive language development. 1.4 Weak foundation in English: Many students enter these universities without asolid foundation in English, making it hard to catch up with the curriculum and required proficiency levels. 2.
