However,thecalibrationofthedifferentialchargeamplifieris essentialforaccuratemeasurement.Inthispaper,wepresenta methodtocalibrateadifferentialchargeamplifierforpiezoelectric vibrationsensors.Thismethodisbasedonmeasuringthetransfer functionofthesensor/amplifiersystemandcorrectingthegain andphaseerrors.Experimentalresultsdemonstratethe effectivenessoftheproposedcalibrationmethodinimprovingthe accuracyofvibrationmeasurement. Introduction Piezoelectricvibrationsensorsareusedinvarious applications,suchasstructuralhealthmonitoring,vibration analysis,andconditionmonitoringofrotatingmachinery.The piezoelectricsensorconsistsofapiezoelectriccrystalthat generatesavoltageinresponsetomechanicalvibrations.To measurethevoltageoutputofthepiezoelectricsensoraccurately, adifferentialchargeamplifierisoftenusedtoamplifythesensor signal.Thedifferentialchargeamplifierconvertsthecharge generatedbythepiezoelectricsensorintoavoltageoutputthatis proportionaltotheinputsignal. Theaccuracyofthedifferentialchargeamplifierplaysa criticalroleinmeasuringthevibrationsignal.Therefore,itis essentialtocalibratethedifferentialchargeamplifiertoensurethe accuracyofthemeasurement.Inthispaper,wepresenta calibrationmethodfordifferentialchargeamplifiersthatuse piezoelectricsensors.Theproposedcalibrationmethodcan correctthegainandphaseerrorsandimprovetheaccuracyofthe sensor/amplifiersystem.
