Background TheWesternServi__AreaCommunicationEngineering__nterLosAngeles(WSA__C LA)formerlyLosAngelesImplementation__nter,ANI-970Communicationand TelecommunicationPlatformisresponsibleforengineering,fieldimplementationand upgradingofradiocommunicationequipmentservingFAAfacilitiesacrosstheUS.The organizationisnowspearheadingtheNextGenerationAir/GroundCommunications (NEXCOM)Program–anintegratedfabricationandinstallationefforttomodernizeFAA radiocommunications.AnimportantelementoftheNEXCOMPrograminvolvesWSA__C LAcollaboratingwithFAAServi__Areasto(1)engineerandprodu__pre-wired communicationracksthatwillbeusedinvariousFAAcommunicationfacilitiesinthe NationalAirspa__System(NAS)suchasRemoteCommunicationAir–Ground(RCAG), Back-upEmergencyCommunication(BUEC),RadioTran__itterRe__iver(RTR),and RemoteCommunicationsOutlet(RCO),and(2)providetechnicalpersonneltoperformsite preparationandelectronicinstallationoftheseracksalongwiththecommunication equipmentatFAAfacilitiesintheNationalAirspa__System(NAS).Therackscontain NEXCOMVHFMultimodeDigitalRadios(MDR)andUHFRadioRepla__mentRadios(i.e. C__U-2100sandCM-300/350respectively)andsupportingcomponents(i.e.RadioControl Equipment(R__),powerstrips,RFPatchPanels….). Thepurposeofthissolicitationistoacquirecontractorservi__stoassisttheWestern Servi__Area(WSA),the__ntralServi__Area(CSA),andEasternServi__Area(ESA)on theNEXCOMProgram.Theseservi__s,whichwillbeimplementedunderdirectionofa projectengineerfromtheWSACommunicationEngineering__nterLosAngeles,will providesupportforthethreeservi__areasinperformingacquisition,rackfabricationand engineering,andfieldinstallationactivitiestoimplementradiocommunicationsattheir facilities.ThetypesofFAAfacilitiesthatwillre__iveracksinclude:ARTCC,RCAG, BUEC,AFSS,FSS,RCO,TRACONS,RAPCONS,ATCT,andRTR. II. ScopeofWork Thisprograminvolvesacombinationof__nagement,technicalengineeringand equipmentfabrication,logistics,andinstallationservi__stoprovidevoi__communication capabilitiesatFAAfacilities.Theservi__swillsupportWSACommunicationEngineering __nterLosAngelesinbuildingandinstallingRCAG,BUEC,RTR,andRCORacksat communicationfacilitiesacrossallFAAServi__Areas.Thecontractorwillperformall work,fabricationandinstallation,atFAAsites.Guidan__forthisworkisreflectedinthe
