TheresultsdemonstratethepotentialofSLMasaviablemanufacturing methodforaluminumalloys,withsignificantimplicationsforvariousindustries andapplications. 1.Introduction SelectiveLaserMelting(SLM)isapowder-basedadditivemanufacturing techniquethatselectivelymeltsandfusesfinelayersofmetalpowdertobuild three-dimensionalobjectslayerbylayer.Theprocessoffersnumerous advantages,includingtheabilitytofabricatecomplexandlightweight structures,reducematerialwaste,andachievehighlevelsofprecision.
