METHODS:TheexpressionanddistributionofGluR1in hippocampusofratswereexaminedbyusingSP immunohistochemicalstainingmethod.RESULTS:Therewas awidespreadexpressionofGluR1inthehippocampusof _____rats,especiallyinstratumpyramidal__ll,stratum orientandstratumlucidumofCA3region,andinterneuron ofdentategyrus.Positiveexpressionwas__inlylocatedin thecytomembraneandpro__ssesoftheneuronsinthe CA1area,andalsointhecytopla__intheCA3area. CONCLUSION:TheexpressionofGluR1inthehippocampal CA1andCA3areaisdifferent.Thisdifferen____ybe attributedtothedifferentfunctionsindifferent hippocampalsubregions.
