Theaverageshearwavevelocityofthereservoiris1304m/s,and theminimumvalueis1174m/s.Thesefindingsprovideimportant informationfortheexplorationanddevelopmentofreservoirsin thestudyarea. Verticalfracturescanaffectthefluidflowandstoragecapacityof thereservoir,andshearwavevelocityiscloselyrelatedtothe mechanicalpropertiesofthereservoirrocks.Inrecentyears,with thedevelopmentofgeophysicalloggingtechnology,ithas becomepossibletostudythedistributionofverticalfracturesand shearwavevelocityinthesubsurfaceusingseismicprofiles,sonic logs,andboreholetelevisiondata. Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatethedistributionofvertical fracturesandshearwavevelocityinareservoirinthestudyarea. Weanalyzedtheverticalseismicprofiles,fullwaveformsoniclogs, andboreholetelevisiondatatoobtainacomprehensive understandingofthereservoirproperties. DataandMethod Thestudyareaislocatedinareservoirinthenorthwestof China.Wecollectedtheverticalseismicprofiles,fullwaveform soniclogs,andboreholetelevisiondatafromanexplorationwell inthereservoir.Theverticalseismicprofileswereacquiredusinga 48-channelreceiverssystemwithasourcedistanceof400meters.
