Through the comprehensive analysis of the geological and geochemical characteristics of the San Da Gou gold deposit and the Emeishan basalt, this paper discusses the mineralization relationship between them. The study shows that San Da Gou gold deposit is located near the edge of the Emeishan basalt and there are many gold mineralization cycles in the erosion and accumulation layer, which shows obvious magmatic-hydrothermal mineralization characteristics, indicating that San Da Gou gold deposit is aproduct of Emeishan basalt magmatic activity. This paper's preliminary exploration has practical significance for further research on the mineralization laws of gold deposits in southwestern Guizhou and the mineralization mechanism of Emeishan basalt.
