Introduction: ZhanjiangislocatedinthesouthofChina,andaquacultureis oneofthemainindustriesinZhanjiang.However,duetothe frequentoccurrenceoftyphoonsinthisregion,aquacultureis oftenaffectedbytyphoondisasters.Therefore,itisofgreat significancetoevaluatetheriskoftyphoondisastersin aquacultureinZhanjiang. Method: Inthisstudy,ariskassessmentmodelwasestablishedbased ontheGeographicInformationSystem(GIS).Thestudyarea coveredtheentireZhanjiangarea.Thedataforriskassessment weremainlydividedintothreecategories:typhoondata, aquaculturedata,andnaturaldisasterdata.Thetyphoondata usedinthisstudywerefromtheChinaMeteorological Administration(CMA).Theaquaculturedatawereobtainedfrom theZhanjiangBureauofAgricultureandRuralAffairs.Thenatural disasterdatawereobtainedfromtheZhanjiangBureauof EmergencyManagement.
