Explore. Dream. Discover 第一篇:高中毕业演讲 高中毕业演讲 Explore. Dream. Discover ------A High School Student's Graduation Speech by Amy Miller Today is both an ending, and abeginning. After thirteen long years we have finally concluded our Kutztown education, we are ready to leave and move on to new things. We didn't shed atear in our last physics class or after our last final. Mark Twain once said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do, than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Where will you be in twenty years? We don't know that mow, of course, but don't worry if you don't have your entire future mapped out just yet. Every single one of us has the capability to do great things. We've survived high school after all, and that entailed plenty of obstacles. It's important that the dreams we follow are our own. Friends and family want what's best for us, but only we can know what is truly in our hearts. The best path is not always the one that leads to wealth and fame, or to someone else's expectations. The best path will lead you to happiness, and can be taken by working hard at something you enjoy. Do not strive for success solely for success's sake. Discover what you truly want to do and then pursue it with all you have. And if your dream changes then so be it, don't be afraid to change with it. Sometimes life may force you to take another path, out of necessity, but don't forget your dreams and don't stop looking for that opportunity to follow them. It's time, tonight, to let out the sails. This harbor is closing, and the whole ocean lies before us. I
