Introduction Copperisawidelyusedmetalinthemanufacturingofvariousproducts owingtoitshighelectricalconductivityandthermalconductivity.Copper electro-depositionisoneofthemostcommonmethodsusedinthe productionofcopper.Theprocessinvolvestheuseofautocatalytic electroplatingtoproducecopperfromaliquidsolution.Electrolysisisthe processbywhichelectriccurrentispassedthroughanelectrolytetocause chemicalchanges.Themethodinvolvestheuseofanelectrodecalledan anodeandacathodeintheelectrolyticcell.Copperelectroplatingcreatesa thinlayerofcopperonthesubstratematerial,anditisappliedtoawiderange ofproducts,includingprintedcircuitboards,semiconductordevices,and others.
