As an English learner in China, taking part in the College English Test (CET) is an unavoidable challenge for all of us. The CET, also known as the National College English Test, is astandardized test used to assess the English proficiency of non-English majors in China. With the test coming up, CET candidates need to improve their reading comprehension skills efficiently. For many students, the CET Reading section is often considered the most challenging part of the test. Therefore, in this article, Iwould like to share some of my tips and suggestions on how to prepare for the CET Reading test. Tip #1: Build Your Vocabulary Vocabulary is an essential factor in determining our reading speed and comprehension. The English language is rich in vocabulary, so it is vital that we familiarize ourselves with as many words as possible. To do this, we can start by reading books, newspapers, and magazines in English regularly. While you read, highlight the words you don't know and look them up in adictionary.
