Unit5 词汇名师教学设计 设计意图 This is the first teaching period of this unit, aiming to help students get a basic understanding of the words and expressions in this unit. The emphasis of this unit is mainly placed on the pronunciation, form and meaning of the vocabulary. Therefore, teachers don’t have to further explain the usage of key words; instead, they should offer more opportunities to students to practice reading and memorize words. Exercises designed ought to be simple and easy to operate, which in turn is of great help to students’ understanding. 教学重点 1. Help students master the pronunciation of the words accurately and try to remember the meaning of the words and expressions. 2. Enable students to know about the compound words, for example, roller coaster, sunlight and freeway. 3. Consolidate the words and expressions by simple exercises. 教学难点 1. Let students know the differences of the words: theme, subject and topic, preserve and reserve, come across, come up, come out and come up with, admission and permission. 2. Get students to distinguish the gender of the words and remember relevant phrases. 教学目标 1.
