TechnologyandApplicationofTrainOperationControl SystemforChinaRailTransitSystem 2 NINGBin^LIUChaoying (1.BeijingJiaotongUniversity,Beijing100044,China2.ChinaRailwayCorporation,Beijing100844,China) : Abstract: WiththerapiddevelopmentofrailtransitsysteminChinainrecentten years,theproblemofheavytrafficincitieshasbeensolvedeffectively.The developmentofhigh-speedrailwayinChinahasresultedinnone-transferbetweenthe citiesandchangedthetraditionalconceptsoftimeandspace.However,safeoperation isthemostimportantforthedevelopmentofrailtransit.Thetraincontrolsystem,as oneofthekeytechnologiestoensurethesafetyoftherailtransit,hasbeenunderrapid developmentinChinathroughindependentinnovation.Thetrainoperationcontrol systemusedinChinarailway(CTCS)andthecommunication-basedtraincontrol systemusedinChinaurbanrailtransit(CBTC)weredescribedinthispaper.Inorder tosatisfytherequirementsofconnectivityforintegratedrailtransitnetwork,low carbonenergyefficient,automatedandintelligentoperationofrailtransitsystem,and thenetworkoperationmodebasedonresourcesharing,thetrainoperationcontrol systemoftherailtransitwilldeveloptowardssystematization,informationnetworking, intelligence,communication&signalintegration,standardizationandopenness.The reductionofthecomplexityofthesystem,theshorteningofthetraintrackinginterval, andtheimprovementofsystemprotectionlevelwillleadtothereductionofthecost andcarbonfootprintandtheimprovementoftransportcapacityandpassenger satisfaction,whichwillensurethesafetyandreliabilityofrailtransit,andultimately achievesafe,efficientandgreentravel. Keywords: high-speedrailway;urbanrailtransit;trainoperationcontrolsystem China'srailtransithasdevelopedrapidlyinthepasttenyears.Thetransitsystems, suchasurbanmetroandlightrail,haveeffectivelysolvedthecontradictionbetween supplyanddemandinthecity.Thehighrailnetwork,thecityeffectandthehighiron zerotransferconceptshavebroughtgreatconveniencetothepassengers,whichbring thedistancebetweencitiesandacceleratetheintegrationofurbanandruralareasand promotethemodernizationlevelofChina.However,whetheritisurbanrailtransitor high-speedrailway,itseternalthemeisgreen,safeandefficient,andthesafeoperation ofrailtransportationisthemostimportantpartofthedevelopmentofrailtransit.The signalsystemisoneofthekeytechnologiestoensurethesafetyofrailtraffic.Asthe coreofthesignalsystem,therelatedtechnologyofthetrainoperationcontrolsystem hasbeendevelopedrapidlyandindependentlyinourcountry.Thetrainoperation 一 controlsystemCTCS(ChinaTrainControlSystem),whichissuitableforChina's railways,hasbeenupgradedfromtheCTCS-0leveltotheCTCS-3levelalongwith thespeedincreaseoftherailway.ThetraincontrolsystemofgradeCTCS-2and CTCS-3issuitableforhighspeedlineswithspeedofmorethan200kmperhour.Its outstandingcharacteristicisthatthetechnicalschemeadaptstothetechnical characteristicsofrailwaytransportationinChina.Thesystemlevelhasbeenoptimized
