采摘季节的英语课堂：onthefarm As the autumn breeze starts to blow across the fields, it's time to start picking the fruits of our labor. Harvest season marks an exciting time on the farm, where everyone is busy with one task or another. In our English classroom, we wanted to give our students ataste of what it's like to be on the farm during this time of year. We decided to hold a 'Harvest Day' where our students could learn about the importance of agriculture and take part in some of the activities that farmers do during the harvest season. Our day started off with atour of the farm. The students were excited to see the different crops that were growing and learn about the different stages of their growth. We walked through the orchards, where the trees were weighed down with apples, pears, and peaches, and the air was filled with the sweet smell of ripe fruit. We also took awalk through the fields where we saw the rows of corn and beans that were ready to be harvested. Our guide told us about how long it takes for each crop to grow and when the best time is to pick them. After the tour, it was time to get to work. We split the 第1 页共 3页
