Methodology: 1.SamplePreparation:AseriesofmodifiedasphaltsampleswithvaryingSBS contentisprepared.TheSBScontentisquantifiedusingareferencemethod, suchasgravimetricanalysis. 2.InfraredSpectroscopy:FTIRspectrometerisusedtocollecttheIRspectraof themodifiedasphaltsamples.Thespectraareacquiredinthemid-infrared region,typicallybetween4000and400cm-1. 3.DataAnalysis:Severalchemometrictechniques,suchaspartialleastsquares regression(PLSR)andprincipalcomponentanalysis(PCA),areappliedto developcalibrationmodelsforSBScontentprediction.Theperformanceof thesemodelsisevaluatedusingstatisticalmeasures,includingrootmean squareerrorofprediction(RMSEP)andcorrelationcoefficients. 4.ReliabilityAssessment:Thereliabilityofthedevelopedcalibrationmodelsis assessedbycomparingthepredictedSBScontentwiththereferencevalues obtainedfromgravimetricanalysis.Theaccuracy,precision,andrepeatability oftheIRspectroscopymethodaredetermined. ResultsandDiscussion: 1.CalibrationModelDevelopment:ThePLSRandPCAmodelsaredeveloped usingthecollectedIRspectraandthecorrespondingSBScontent.Themodels arecross-validatedtodeterminetheoptimalnumberofprincipalcomponents andtoestimatethepredictionerror.Theobtainedcalibrationmodelsshow goodcorrelationbetweenthepredictedandreferenceSBScontent. 2.ReliabilityEvaluation:Severalstatisticalmeasures,suchascoefficientof determination(R2),rootmeansquareerror(RMSE),andbias,areusedto assessthereliabilityofthecalibrationmodels.Thesemeasuresindicatethe accuracy,precision,andrepeatabilityoftheIRspectroscopymethodforSBS contentdetectioninmodifiedasphalt. 3.ComparisonwithReferenceMethod:ThepredictedSBScontentusingthe developedcalibrationmodelsiscomparedwiththereferencevaluesobtained fromgravimetricanalysis.Theresultsshowahighdegreeofagreement
