Understandingthetransienttransportpropertiesof polythiophenesiscrucialforoptimizingtheirdeviceperformance. Inthispaper,wereviewtherecentprogressinstudyingthe transienttransportpropertiesofpolythiophenes,includingthe chargecarrierdynamics,mobility,andrecombination.Wediscuss theexperimentalmethodsthathavebeenemployedto investigatetheseproperties,suchastime-resolvedspectroscopy andtransientphotoconductivitymeasurements.Furthermore,we presentthetheoreticalmodelsandsimulationsthathavebeen developedtoexplaintheobservedtransienttransport phenomena.Finally,wediscusstheimplicationsofthesefindings forthedevelopmentofhigh-performancepolythiophene-based electronicandoptoelectronicdevices.
