In this paper, we investigated the glass-forming ability and mechanical properties of Cu-Hf-Al BMGs. Cu-Hf-Al series glasses were prepared using a quenching method, and their glass-forming ability was studied by X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. The elastic, plastic, and fracture properties were studied by compression and shear experiments. The experimental results indicate that Cu-Hf-Al series glasses have excellent glass-forming ability and high hardness, as well as good elastic, plastic, and fracture properties. This study provides a theoretical and experimental basis for further development and application of Cu-Hf-Al series glasses.
