Successful as the activity was, the way of going hungry was not suitable for the students. An disadvantage of going hungry is that it is bad for students’ health. Not eating food for 24 hours may probably let students have stomach troubles. On the other hand, it is universally acknowledged that true volunteers should be earnest. When all the students were required to go hungry, there must be someone who was not willing to do that and this was just against the purpose of the activity. Although there are good reasons students should do their utmost to do something for charity,we have many other ways to give ahelping hand such as donating things that the poor need and holding benefit performances or charity sales.
