·-- 伯纳德屈米作品竹语    “”―― 我们将无止境室内设计项目视为开发竹子潜在价值的机会以意想不到的创 新方式运用竹子。竹子是一种传统的亚洲建筑材料，它不仅价格便宜，而且对环境的适应性 强。因此，这套公寓得以成为测试这种材料的实验室。在这套公寓里，几乎所有的东西都是 以竹子为材料的，包括大部分地板、天花板、窗户上的装饰、家具、大部分厨房和浴室用具。 我们还设计了两个用竹子做的新装置来分隔空间：一个是能从中心节点张开形成墙壁、走廊 的折壁，另一个是能由一个圆柱体打开形成弯曲的屏风的隔墙。有了这些装置，公寓的居住   者就可以根据不断变化的需要灵活地设计自己的空间。 InfiniteBamboo WeapproachedtheInfiniteInteriorprojectasanopportunitytoexplorethepossibilityof usingbamboo-atraditionalAsianbuildingmaterialthatisbothinexpensiveandenvironmentally sustainable-inunexpectedandinnovativeways.Theapartmentunitisthereforetreatedasa laboratoryfortestingthismaterial.Literallyeverythingintheunitismadeofbamboo,including mostfloors,ceilings,windowcoverings,furnishings,andmostkitchenandbathroomappliances. Wehavealsodesignedtwonewspace-Pidingsystems,bothmadeofbamboo:oneisafolding partitionthatexpandsfromacentralnodetocreatewallsandcorridors;theotherisacurving partitionthatunrollsfromacylindricalcolumntocreatesinuousscreens.Thesesystemsprovide theapartment’sresidentswiththeflexibilitytodesigntheirspaceaccordingtochangingneeds.
