Thispaperaimstoproposeamethodforconstructingaplant geneticresourcescoresubsetusingahybridgeneticdistance approachthatincorporatesboththegeneticdistanceand genotypicvalues.Thehybridapproachseekstomaximizethe representationofgeneticdiversitywhilesimultaneouslyselecting individualswithdesirabletraitsforbreedingprograms.Thecore subsetgeneratedthroughthismethodwillserveasa representativesampleoftheentiregermplasmcollection, minimizingredundancyandaccompanyingcosts.
