Some of them can understand English and master what they have learned with efforts. But most students still have difficulty in learning English and lack interest in English, which should be paid more attention to improving. What is the most important is that Ss are willing to try to learn English carefully. With the help of English teacher, they can deal with some problems and catch the teacher’s steps in class. In conclusion, the top Ss can learn the language actively, but the bottom Ss should be encouraged to participate in activities and practice English more in class. Ⅱ. Learning objectives: At the end of the term, Ss will be able to 1. Language knowledge : 1) learn and master the important language points in each unit. 2) master important words and learn to recite them with the help of phonetic symbols. 3) master some basic grammar rules. 4) use the focused sentence patterns to talk about relative topics. 2. Language skills: 1) enhance skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation. 2) improve the ability of interpersonal communication. 3. Affects: 1) be inspired to be interested in English learning. 2) be more confident as they get more encouragement. 3) be willing to talk to others in English and cooperate with others. 4) learn to be afull man. 4. Cultural awareness: 1) get some cultural awareness about some foreign countries and our mother land. 2) value the culture and respect it. 5. Learning strategies: 1) form the good habit of previewing and reviewing lessons. 2). listen to the teacher carefully and be active in the class. 1
